Metallica, why did you have to sell out!!?!??!?
Haha, Metallica was a VERY talented and original band in the begining, and produced some of the defining Metal records like "Kill Em All" and "Ride The Lightning"...
I would say they were good all the way up until the black album, that way their "selling out" point.
My favorite album is probably "Kill Em All"...

My favorite songs are...

One
For Whom The Bell Tolls
Seek And Destroy
Master Of Puppets

jason joined Echobrain after metallica, and now plays with voivod who are still putting out good thrash music unlike metallica. he played with ozzy on the ozzfest but i dont think hes going to be a full time member.

Yeah, I totally agree with the Lizard King. RTL, Kill Em All, and MOP are amazing. The black album was their last proper metal album but it sounds less thrash than previous ones-it still rocks though!
After the black album, which was more mainstream than previous albums, Metallica sold out for a more "popular" and less metal sound( Load, Re-load etc)
I'm not a big fan of new metallica, especially not St Anger, but other than that they're very talented, and are definitely one of my fave bands!!!
Just my opinion though....
