'Put Down That Weapon' is my favourite Midnight Oil track but I do think that this is not the best sub forum so I'm shifting it to the Rock forum.

I just gave this compilation a listen -
Hmm, more or less what Seltzer said - wasn't exactly blown, but I feel I'll like it more with each listen . Admittedly, I liked the tracks from 10,9,8...etc more than Diesel and Dust. Outside World, Warakurna & Scream In Blue were all great tracks. I'll give it another listen soon. Or maybe I should just give one of their albums a go. |

Somehow I think why many non-Australians can't get into Midnight Oil because a lot of what they are about has to do with the social circumstances of Australia and the issue of Aboriginal land and stuff - all which were very sensitive issues in Australia at the time and something that Midnight Oil brought to the surface which was really amazing.
But regardless of this I still think they're a great band anyway. |
