Default New Meshuggah on the way

In case you haven't heard, Meshuggah are planning a new album for release on the 27th of March.
No name or artwork has been released as of yet, but still, NEW MESHUGGAH MO-FOS

Are you actually saying all their albums sound the same?

For those who don't like the djenting of Meshuggah, or find it repetitive, I've heard that no one really appreciates Meshuggah as much as they could as a band until they see them live. I'm pretty sure they'll be going on tour here pretty soon to support the upcoming record so get out to some shows and maybe your opinion will change.

If you compare Meshuggah's early work and even the stuff they're putting out today, to some of the trendy djent poop bands that are stirring up a craze on youtube nowadays...there's just no comparison. I'm not saying all djent bands are bad, just the ones that used to be whatever-core and then switched to be trendy.

there's some dispute as to whether "djent" itself is a valid subgenre

I'd agree to it being classified as a style more than a genre. Usually bands that willingly label themselves djent are ****ty metal/death/trance/pop-core bands that are trying to stay relevant.

Looks like the new record is named Koloss, and in my opinion, has some pretty gnarly artwork...
