Meshuggah, whose name is taken from the Hebrew and Yiddish word for “crazy,” are a five-piece technical metal band from Umeå, Sweden, founded in 1987. I have heard nothing but good things about this band and obZen is one of my favorite records this year. They've gone great lengths to make some fantastic records, and I'm anxious to see them when they come stateside.
