I think they're pretty good... but... the fans at my school make me want to hate them.

Every HIM band shirt at my school is accompanied by all manner of studded bracelets and hot topic pants. Blegh.

Nonetheless, I do enjoy the music...

i dont like them but then thats just my opinion. i dont like the whole "love rock" concept in general. HIM and bands like them "aka the Rasmus" kind of contradict the whole point of rock (drugs, sex etc). rock bands need a bit of nastiness about them and HIM are just too......."soppy". as i said, thats just my opinion and im sure many will disagree with me but there you go!

i highly disagree when you say the whole point of rock is sex and drugs. Rock originated from rebels in England. Rock is about fighting for your rights, and standing up for yourself.

Agreed. From "rock" there are a lot of sub categories as well. HIM is Gothic-rock. They all have their own differences, but rock is exactly how you defined it. Standing up for your rights!

Isn't HIM considered Gothic-rock? I used to listen to them, but I was never aware they were ever labeled straight up "rock." I'm not too much into Gothic-rock, but from what I've read it is lyrically very different. They sing more about love and pain (a bit emo) than about drugs and sex.

However, I concur. Mushy, nonetheless.

I like led zeppelin very much, or guns n'roses, AC/DC, lou reed, nirvana....but they are the classic group rock who did make the story of rock...the HIM are new group and is impossible confront they of led zeppelin and other...i know.
