As for the 'annoying as hell voice' comment about Dio, I would be more compelled to attribute that term to Ozzy Osbourne at times!! Now It's not that I dont like the original stuff with Ozzy Osbourne. I love the debut album & Paranoid and have all the others through download have listened to most of them but for me Dio's work with Sabbath (although minimal in comparison(album wise) it really stands out against anything Ozzy ever did solo or with Sabbath(IMO)). I think Dio is a much much better vocalist than Ozzy and I would rather listen to him anyday. Also might I add when the option for Dio with Sabbath was included only the Heaven & Hell album was mentioned!! what about 'Mob Rules' (1981)or 'Dehumanizer' (1992)??? Also they did an album with Ian Gillan which wasnt included in the list -'Born Again' (1983) but I can kind of agree as Ian Gillan (as much as I love Deep Purple and the likes) doesnt really suit Black Sabbath (IMO). [U]"As far as Ozzy's rendition of Sabbath songs...horrible, but I'd rather listen to most of Ozzy's solo work than Ozzy with Sabbath."[U] I am not too big on Ozzy's solo work, I think he is massively overrated and the only real song that 'does it' for me is 'Bark At The Moon'. In addition I think his work with Black Sabbath ranks way higher than any solo stuff. Also Dio's solo stuff ****s on any of Ozzys (IMO) "Sabbath and Dio are bloody horrible, in my opinion. Dio is an amazing singer, but he can't take the place of Oz."[/QUOTE] I think Dios voice is excellent and the 'Dehumanizer' is my truly my favourite & the best Black Sabbath album (IMO). I can understand people might say Dio is not Black Sabbath and I would agree to a certain extent. I see Black Sabbath as having two sides to them (not counting the Ian Gillan period for obvious reasons) firstly with Ozzy as pioneers of Heavy Metal (which I am a big fan of also) & secondly with Dio (which just happens to be my personal favourite). Also I appreciate how people can recognise that Dio is an amazing vocalist. I also have one of Dio's solo albums 'Holy Diver' which i think is fantastic. I would even go as far to say Dio is my favourite Metal vocalist (and probably the best in terms of vocal capabilities). Anyway I knew this wouldnt go down too well and maybe I am the only one (but at least someone appreciates it). As for Ozzy Osbourne nowadays he does my ****ing head in. So you can take your Ozzy Osbourne & shove it up your ass! (only joking!)

As far as 'contest' goes it is only a matter of opinion (whether it be popular or not).
Like I said before I do like Ozzy's stuff with Sabbath but would rank Dio's stuff much higher than his, simply for 'Computer God' alone. |

You can take Dio and ..... oh wait he's already there i don't even have to say anything... (only joking!). |

Black Sabbath with Ozzy easily, although Ozzy's early albums have a huge nostalgia factor to them.

[/QUOTE) Yeah well suppose Im just contradicting 'popular opinion' which IMO is nearly always wrong. What I mean by the 'minimalistic' comment is that Dio compared to Ozzy made a hell of a lot fewer albums with Black Sabbath but to me the music on them was a hell of a lot better than anything Ozzy ever did. As for the 'you can take Dio' comment- at least we are both satisfied. The only proper claim I would put across is that Dios voice is a hell of a lot better than Ozzy's. (but I can understand why people say Dio is not Sabbath to me). Also I find it quite ironic how we used to argue & insult each other and now just because we put (only joking) in brackets it suddenly becomes accepted lol. Anyway, go ram it... ALSO WHO ELSE VOTED FOR DIO??????????????????????????????????????????????? ???????????????????????????????? WE NEED TO TALK!
