Someone mentioned Ozzy's first two albums as being particularly good. I'd heard the first, listening to the 2nd recently.
The first two tracks are fucking fire. Make me want to drop a fridge on my gran's face. Voting for Black Sabbath w/ Ozzy btw. |

I've never been a fan of Ozzy's solo stuff. I don't think it can compare to Black Sabbath with Ozzy, and neither can Dio, but I prefer Dio with Black Sabbath rather than just Ozzy.

Randy Rhodes could play circles around Toni Iommi, but that doesn't make him more interesting.
Besides, RR's tone was thin and screechy. Ick. Last edited by Paul Smeenus; 12-14-2013 at 07:19 PM. |

I would still vote for Black Sabbath, but if Dio's solo career were an option I'd definitely vote for that over the other two at least.

Black Sabbath all the way. The run they had with Ozzy is one of the best in music, and their first four albums are damn near flawless.
I like a lot of Ozzy's solo career, and I really don't listen to a ton of Heaven & Hell. I have the first album while they were still known as Black Sabbath, but Dio has a great voice. I like Holy Diver and his work with Rainbow a lot more than I do Heaven & Hell, though. The song "Heaven and Hell" is sick, though. |
