So how about locking all but one thread. Just because some of us don't like the band, doesn't make it entirely shitty. I said from the first time I read this thread that it makes it seem like the official stand of MB as a whole is that Dragonforce suck. Though I firmly believe they do, it doesn't make it so. It also bugs me that a mod that doesn't even like this genre of music made this thread. I say unsticky this and leave one dragonforce thread open. Same thing as any other band, close any other new threads and direct to the one that is allowed.

We have limited it to one thread and I made this because there were about five people bumping every single Dragonforce thread at the time. It was annoying. Now you can go cry about it and listen to some power metal boohoo.

So how about merging the other dragonforce threads with this one so there can be some constructive discussion among fans rather than just bashing.

Why should I merge them with this one? This thread isn't about Dragonforce its about bumping all the threads on Dragonforce.

Because DragonForce are pretty much universally hated here anyway, so there wouldn't exactly be a whole lot of constructive discussion going on.

Because every thread about them gets locked. We should be able to discuss any band here, not just ones that mods approve.

If they are universally hated then there wouldn't be a problem with them being bumped all the time.

That blatantly isn't true. I've closed loads of threads of bands I like because there were already threads about them. This is got absolutely nothing to do with personal taste in music.
We had a problem with one or two people bumping long dead threads just to say stuff like 'dragonforce rock' or crap like that , that was why we took action.

If you want to write a Dragonforce album review in the album review forum that wouldn't get closed , if you want the next dragonforce album included in the ratings forum that won't get closed. If you want to make a blog just on dragonforce & writing interesting & detailed articles about the band that would be allowed too. So please don't make out that it's the mods having it in for one band because that just isn't true. It's all about the contribution these threads made , and in this case they didn't so they were either merged or closed. The same as ANY band would get treated.

Universally hated by teh regulars is what I meant.

I think the best thing about Dragonforce is their guitar and its not even that great.

Ok, I understand if everybody hates dragonforce, but isn't this a free music forum? If I post asking what people think specifically of the new album, WTF are you doing merging it with a thread about how everybody hates dragonforce? I'm afraid you're a hater, jackhammer. HOW IS THIS REASONABLE TO BE MERGED IN ANY WAY? I'm not bumping an existing Dragonforce thread. I thought that there was no thread on the album, and becuase I assumed that you can discuss whatever band you want on this website, I posted about the new album. It's insulting. My feelings aren't hurt because a) I know that dragonforce isn't a legitimately dope band, b) The internet is full of hater-mods like you.

I'd say this is far from flaming, so if you remove this post, I think that'll be really funny. Anyways, I dont think this site is the place for me. I'm not into unreasonable people modding the hell out of my perfectly reasonable threads.

Everybody else manages to discuss new albums in existing band threads.
