No, but the comparison is also lost. I specified "this album" meaning so far from what I've heard off of Death Magnetic I find My Apocalypse to be the worst. None of it has really impressed me yet, but The Day That Never Comes at least has a halfway decent solo. The reason none of it has really impressed me is because the drums are always either underwhelming or too much, and it takes away a lot of the feel from the riffs. Also, My Apocalypse is poorly put together, the riffs seem to jump around sloppily as opposed to flowing into one another. Its a train wreck of decent ideas.
As far as St.Anger, I'd consider it Metallica's worst release to date. |

The solo in The Day That Never Comes jumps around.......My Apocalypse just seems like it fits in well with the song.
I will agree with one thing. When I heard the single for the very first time, my first thought was..."Man, they have those drums waaayy too hot in the mix." I think it would be better toned down a bit, but I love what I've heard so far. |

Here's a 10 song preview.
10 Song Preview Still, My Apocalypse seems the most convincing and that's the last track Wasn't all that bad though overall. |

You fucking tease. I really want them to make a kick arse album and give a big two fingered salute to the doubters. I have got my disappointed pill ready with my glass of scotch.
