Why are this bands first five albums untouchable? Is it true that the self titled was done in there home studio with about 500 bucks cash? If so thats a ****ing kick in the nuts to bastardly companies like Protools

Dont get me started on Iommi. That mans just incredible, he doesnt have have all his fingers due to a factory accident. Listened to this jazz guitarist and continued playing guitar because of it and is now one of the most brilliant Rock and Roll guitarists ever.

I think even if someone mocks them for some reason they know that Sabbath is responsible for a good deal of wha they probably like coming out today.

Listen to them in the context of their time and there is practically nothing like them out there, nearly every riff on those albums has been copied, altered, slowed down and speeded up by a multitude of metal bands since (Who aknowledge the fact as well) The template for thrash and doom metal etc are all laid down on these albums. For most metal fans those first five albums are the stuff of legend.
