i've seen way too much to sum up all of the bands i've ever seen live, but best shows i've ever seen:
metal: iron maiden now, i'm not the biggest maiden fan in the world but i'll be damned if any other metal act can put on a better show than them rock: smashing pumpkins they basically played every song i wanted to hear and they nailed it. especially since i was expecting it to suck (just listen to some of their mid 90s shows). best overall: soundtribe sector 9 words can't describe how amazing a show this was...every person alive should experience them live at some point and i will cancel plans of any kind to see them whenever they are near me.

Man if the "If all Goes Wrong" DVD is any sort of indication of how the Pumpkins in their modern format, I think they'd be utterly mind blowing... that is one incredible performance and I am so very glad it has been immortalised on DVD... I kinda think I am going to have see them next tour...
Duga, I am insanely jealous that you have been to a Smashing Pumpkins show.... they never came to my hometown back when I was living in Australia, and the only way I could have seen them was to buy 100 buck tickets to the Big Day Out Festival, to see them in a truncated gig, amongst a whole bunch of bands I only quasi - liked...

Meh, honestly, I don't think Iha or Darcy were all that crucial to the band's sound. Iha's songwriting always sounded slight at best to my ears, and Darcy played bass fairly well but she isn't exactly a standout instrument...
