Violin Metal
Does anyone know where i could find free metal sheet music for violin? or any violin metal sheet music in general.
|
free? don't think so.
your best bet is probably getting guitar magazine's and attempting to transpose the staff above the tablature. |
Sorry, no idea. Are there any metal bands that use a violin? I want to hear it

Theres Apocalyptica, their a thrash/neo classical metal band which uses cellos and violins in all their songs. There is also rammstein, but they just use violins occasionaly and you can't usually hear it at all.

oh yeah didn't think of the whole orchestra thing.

It's a great concept, I mean most neo classical shred guitarists worship Paganini, and they often try to emulate the tone of a violin, so you would think more metal bands would experiment with actual violins.

It's kinda hard to find metal bands with violins or cellos.(although cellos might work better due to its deeper sound)
Imo, the combination works very well with doom metal(since you can produce a mournful/depressing kinda sound with these instruments) Apocalyptica have some cool stuff, but too inconsistent imo. Check out Asunder...a Funeral Doom band with cool cellos. Just some others that come to mind- Haggard - Symphonic medieval kinda atmosphere with lots of doom elements...orchestra oriented. Virgin Black - Doom/symphonic metal from Australia...They make use of cello's in many of their tracks. Should check out the Requiem Trilogy.(Requiem - Pianissimo, Mezzo Forte & Fortissimo) As for the topic starter, finding the music itself is hard...getting the sheet music is goona be even harder. I suggest googleing. |
Indukti - Toolish metal with Violin as the lead. I'm not sure where the tabs would be, but it's awesome music nonetheless.
