Uh, what kind of rule is that? Metal is a subgenre to rock therefore it is a form of rock music.

So what are you saying, we can't list any bands that can be categorized into a subgenre?

While Metal originated from Rock, it has become its own independant genre rather than just a mere sub-genre, and has expanded to the point where it is a larger and more diverse genre than Rock.
