Fixed It for ya.
The Ritual is not that good. The Gathering on the other hand is like a Supergroup of talented people. Chuck Billy, James Murphy, Steve DiGiorgio and Dave Lombardo. Can't go wrong with a line up like that. Easily amongst the best material they have done.

Takes a few listens I suppose, but gets better with each. "Demonic" on the other hand is awful, that one I can not listen to.

Demonic was Testament's attempt at full on Death Metal, and not a very good one... they should stick to Thrash Metal.
The Gathering though hinted at it, kinda of had elements of Death Metal, but still stuck to Thrash as well. Speaking of Testamant, got this for $1 on cassette recently: One of my favorite scores recently.
