Nightwish is along the lines of Blind Gaurdian except with chick vocals.

Borknagar is just f*cking awesome

if you like Dillenger Escape Plan or Unearth than you'd like Society's Finest.

Kataklsym ain't bad

nor is Immortal Souls

this isnt the type of music you said, but these are great bands, and you should probably check them out.

You'll love Dimmu Borgir.
Everyone will love Dimmu Borgir.

Don't limit yourself to American music. It doesn't take much digging for you to uncover some incredible music overseas.

Dimmu Borgir is crap. Cradle Of Filth is even better than them. Listen to Borknagar if you want black metal that isn't "I love satan. he rocks." that music blows as does the people who think their demons or whatver the ****. The music is good but I can't stand the vocals. Gross. And everyband I listed (except Society's Finest) is from Europe as is almost all the ones itchytasty put up
