You dont just hate Lars because of the whole Napster thing, do you?

Ah ok well thats more understandable. It sounded as though your hatred was born simply from the Napster thing which I never quite understood and still don't.

Thats what I like about it, it isnt self indulgent its actually rather cringeworthy at times to see how they were carrying on around one another. They could have gotten rid of the camera's at any point and cancelled the documentary and if you recall there is a scene IN the film where they consider doing that.
True. I probably turned it off by then but your point is valid. Cringeworthy is a perfect way to describe it, by the way. Nice call.

Yeah i think cringeworthy is probably quite accurate. The film is probably the most boring thing in the world to a non Metallica fan but I think it offers a good warts and all insight to a rather lengthy period of time of the bands career.

Among thrash metal fans, i'd have to call this one of the hardest questions to answer. i voted metallica simply because i got into metal thru them w/ justice and master. there was a period of six months in high school where i literally listened to only metallica. two years later i discovered the early megadeth. the riffs are definitely up to par w/ metallica, and the solos in rust in peace aren't matched. still you can't deny how epic some of hammett's solos were.

i later learned that lars is a terrible drummer, i never listened to the drumming because i was so busy learning to play metallica riffs. megadeths drumming has always been better i think.

at least metallica is 75% original members, pretty impressive. though mustaine continued making solid albums w/ several different lineups which i can also appreciate.

Which is better or which is worse? I couldn't pick either one for either question.

Why do we keep getting these idiots who post a single inane post with no thought or content and who are then never to be seen again?

I do wish they would at least make their one post a semi decent one. Id start giving users a week off as a penalty on their very first posts if needed. That and a PM that says "Dumbass".

I like how some people say Metallica suck because they're too popular....

Like the guy earlier......yeah.....since when does popularity have to do with musical quality? That's like judges on American Idol telling a horrible singer....."well.....you look beautiful!"

Doesn't matter how they look, or how popular they are.....it's how they sound.
