First of all, I'll say I think both bands are great, but faced with a choice between the two, I have to go with Megadeth. They both have history of ****ing up more or less, but somehow I sympathize a bit more with Dave Mustaine .. I also quite like some of his lyrics.

Besides, I think United Abominations (Megadeth's latest) was a very good album. Looking forward to the next one!

Yeah, I agree with toretorden.

I'd have to go with Megadeth, because they stayed true longer than Metallica. Both bands are awesome though.

I'm not sure what to think about Mustaine personally. I've heard people say he's a real gentlemen, while others say he's kind of a douche. I've never met him, so I'm not sure.

He also has a great singing voice, I think .. for thrash.

I like both, but I'll say Metallica cos I saw them live and they kicked ass.

it's difficult to choose, but i got into metallica first absolute geniuses! seek & destroy is quite possibly the best tune ever.

I'm personally a big fan of both. They are both very good bands. I think Megadeth's newest album was a bit better than Metallica's newest album, though. That's just my opinion.

I havent heard Megadeths last one but Megadeth have certainly aged better.
