I think 'Peace Sells' is their best album by far, although some of the lyrics (The Conjuring) are awful.

You mean roughand ready? Thats what Thrash was all about. Most thrash after 88 was too polished.

Megadeth tried to sell out, but they just couldn't write that good a pop song.

I don't understand the trend of calling bands sellouts. I don't like the fact that bands change their entire image and sound sometimes, just to appeal to people and make money. To "sell out". If you're in it for money alone, you're in it for the wrong reason. But don't be stupid. If someone tells you they aren't in it for the money, they either think you are gullable as hell, or they have full time jobs doing something else. Being a band is an occupation. ANY smart band on the face of the earth would try to make money. It's just a fact of life. Without it, you can't get anything. If I wanted to get my band air play, I'd write something appealing to the masses....without being cliche. That would be my goal....to get my music heard, and put food on the table. And it's another trend to "hate mainstream music". I love alternatives from the norm just as much as the next guy, but there's a reason mainstream is successful. Alot of it is good music. Some of it may not appeal to you at all. Everyone's different. Don't dislike a band because they are "mainstream", dislike them for creating music that you simply just don't enjoy.
