I have no real evidence to say that to be honest, he just has that look.

how about using the fact that megadeth was created for no other reason than a vehicle for revenge after having been kicked out of metallica and having to hear him whine about it for way too long. their whole point was to one up metallica at every opportunity.

MD could have easily stood on its own as a great metal band but instead mustaine himself relegated his band to 2nd fiddle status through his comments and behavior.

oh yeah megadeth definitely stands up on its own. it just always chose to stand in metallica's shadow.

I agree...my vote goes to the original Metallica, not the cover band Metallica.

I did find it kind of funny when Dave Mustaine said after seeing Some Kind of Monster he was just as good a friend to Metallica as they were to eachother.

Well since I just saw them last night, I guess I'm bias. Megadeth. And on a side note, Dave is looking very good for an old guy!

I'm a bit tired of people talking about how great a guitarist Marty Friedman is.

I mean he is better than Kirk Hammett, but still, its annoying to hear that phrase repeated over and over and over.

Megadeth's first "sell-out" album beats Metallica's s/t and Load, but after that they kind of intertwine in the vortex of suck that is "Post-Thrash".
