megadeths gud, since mustaine can shred like crazy, but i dont think they hav the lyrial or vocal talent to rival metallica ever. but in my opinion, motley crue is the best band neway

Give it a second listen and you'll understand what I'm talking about. I love Burton's tone. In a couple years I'm seriously considering getting a rickenbaker, they're awesome. Listen to Master of puppets, the bass is clearly there and is easy to take out. You don't even have to turn up the bass, though I do. On ...And Justice for All even with bass turned all the way up you have to listen hard to hear the muted guitar. (You do know that even though Cliff wrote a lot of ...And Justice for All he wasn't in the studio?)

Ever since Joe Satriani began playing guitar.

In 1991 and 1992 Metallica was considered the Greatest Band In the World in that Time Period. Megadeth is good but not up to Metallica. And Much Less in the Cliff Burton Years up to 1986.

i would just like to know what selling out is, whats does it involve? if its because metallica changed around their music over the time period then thats a weak argument, they didnt sell out they are just that damn talented that they can make any kind of music at will. megadeath hasnt changed their style because they can't, because of lack of talent. dont get me wrong they do play some mean stuff, but what i mean is that they lack creativity. metallica are music gods and can make any music they damn well please. if you dont like what they are doing then whine and cry in a corner somewhere. they have been around long enough that they are able to do what they want. if you are a true fan of metallica you will follow them, and if you are a true fan of music then you will understand that they are allowed to make what they wish because of their creativity. and thats all i have to say about that.

Yeah, but Megadeth are still better.

And Megadeth changed their music over time too. Their first three albums are the most thrashy but later albums, for example, Youthanasia and Countdown, have a slightly softer, less thrash sound. Risk was very different from their usual style, and cryptic writings and The World Needs A Hero sound different too IMO.

I love Metallica too though, I just don't agree that they're better than Megadeth.
