If its good music, its good music. I wouldn't turn my nose up just because its got Christian lyrical content. I can't really say I've heard any "good" Christian metal, but I'm sure its out there. I've heard some Christian Metalcore bands in the past that were decent for metalcore. I know thats not saying much, but its come a long way since Stryper.

To be completely honest, I mean, I know it's been said before and it'll probably be said again, but the fact is that music that is really ostentatiously religious, to the point of evangelizing, is almost invariably ill-conceived trash as far as the actual music part goes. and there's a good reason for that: if the aim of it was simply to get out a preachy message, then that entails that the aim was not to create any compelling piece of music.
evangelical music is, as expected, usually generic and insipid in its instrumental/melodic/harmonic content. if you know you're 99.99% (maybe 100%) likely to encounter that, then why not turn your nose up to it? |

Christian metal is a contradiction, considering metal was born out of the 'devil's chords'. Believe it or not Christian black metal bands do exist! A very laughable fact.
