You people need to listen to some John Zorn music... specifically from the album NAKED CITY. There are songs on that album that are only 10-15 seconds, but some of the most intense music you will ever hear. Complete with the vocal ravings of Yamatsuka Eye (geez, I hope I spelled that right...), I can only describe the music as "organized chaos". Tight, tight, tight.
And yes, you will probably find it in the JAZZ section. Go figure. |

I'd have to say some of the heaviest stuff I've heard has been from Deicide and The Berzerker. The Berzerker ain't great, but they're still damn heavy. As for songs, pretty much all songs from the two bands are extremely heavy and sound-barrier-shattering.
