Hmm, i a lot of my favorite artists are shared with the older people in my family. Public Enemy, Pharoahe Monch, John Lennon, Pete Rock, Nirvana, Sonic Youth. I would be listening to complete **** if it wasn't for their influence.
I suppose I would reccomend stuff like agent orange, the melvins, wipers, the birthday party. I have never actually listened to "Disturbed", but i think some of the bands i listed may be a good middle ground. And enough with all the "at least he isn't listening to rap" BS. Since when did so many people my age hate the same music as their parents.. |
