I'm in eighth, and that music might be big on the rock scene, but rock is dying with the new generation...
I listen to Disturbed and SOAD a bit, and I know from experience you could almost definetly get him onto 90's music, especially grunge. Try giving him some Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, or Rage Against the Machine. And just be f*cking grateful he isn't listening to rap and low-riding...

I've been hearing that for years. It isn't going to happen. Rock and metal will continue to evolve like everything else.
