Everything Must Go is an awful radio rock album, as is everything they've released since then. They lost all sense of direction without Richey behind them. Though Generation Terrorists and Gold Against the Soul weren't great either but I think was more because Richey didn't have any musical input on those like he did on The Holy Bible.

Everyone here knows of Bittersweet Symphony... it has been used on a bank ad which is slightly ironic given the lyrics. But I doubt many have heard any other Verve songs.

No it is Sonnet and it shows how you pick their best known tracks to make out you know them by reading it in some music magazine.

Oasis, you can put all of Blur's albums inculding Parklife against (What's the Story) Morning Glory and they don't even come close. And The Stone Roses are great too!
