Such a good song, I love "Village Green Preservation Society". I hear some chord bending in the background and being the shoegaze junkie I am I can't help but make a connection to MBV. |
my fave albums are Village Green, Something Else and Arthur
I also more or less like all the 70s and 80s singles |
i even have the underrated preservation albums. the first one is pretty good anyway

love the kinks, they produced some true masterpieces. They were well ahead of their time in my opinion.
waterloo sunset, days, sunny afternoon, lola, plastic man, death of a clown, dead end street, you really got me, all day and all of the night. ^^ all classics. |
Eff me, what a great band.
So many classics-Ray is the greatest ever quintessentially English (and I use the word advisedly) songwriter. He is the Philip Larkin of pop. (That`s a compliment, BTW!) |
I'd say the title, "the Philip Larkin of pop" belongs to Morrissey, but I definitely agree with the sentiment.

I don't like Plastic Man, You Really Got Me, or particularly Lola so much, but I like plenty of their songs.
