If anyone is interested, here's a list of Kink album reviews I've done in my time on this forum.
The Kinks (1965) - The Kink Kontroversy The Kinks (1966) - Face to Face The Kinks (1967) - Something Else by The Kinks The Kinks (1968) - The Village Green Preservation Society The Kinks (1969) - Arthur (Or The Decline and Fall of The British Empire) I will get round to the first two albums at some point, I'd miss the greatest hits altogether to be honest, these 5 albums are all you need |

I love quite a few of the Kink's albums Favourite band.
Face to Face, Something Else, The Village Green Preservation Society, Arthur, Lola, Muswell Hillbillies, all great albums. And Destroyer's great as well. Favourite album's Village Green. |

I love The Kinks, they're one of my favorite bands. During their peak years, they were hard to beat. I consider their best album to be Arthur, but Village Green isn't far behind. They could basically do no wrong from Face To Face through Everybody's In Showbiz, anyways.

Pretty much agree with you here. I haven't bothered listening to anything past Arthur yet. The first two albums aren't in the same league as these, but they have their fun, rocking moments. |
