So I have been on this Kinks binge these past couple of days, and since I downloaded their first 6 albums, and I'm planning on adding Arthur (1969) to my collection. Now the band has 25 studio albums, so they kept releasing albums up to 1993.
What I want to know: is there any recommended albums past the ones released in the 60s?

Just makes sure you get Arthur, it makes all their other albums pale in comparison. It's the only album that truly gets the best of both Dave's huge skill on the guitar as well as Ray's lyrical brilliance.

Couldn't agree more and I don't think they ever topped it. Yes Sir No Sir has to be one of the more underrated songs in their catalogue... that guitar riff is swell.

Preservation Act 1 is pretty decent overall but Act 2 is terrible. I've yet to venture past that but plan to eventually, though not chronologically. I will be picking and choosing based on recommendations and general opinion.

The Kinks are easily one of the best things to come out of Britain in the 60s. On my many trips to London I made sure to visit to see Waterloo Station (not the prettiest site). I own quite a few of their albums.

Not shopping online, I assume? Otherwise I don't see how it would be difficult to acquire.
