Dave Grohl's transition as the drummer of Nirvana to the frontman for the Foo Fighters career is quite amazing when concerning achievement itself, I always liked Krist Novoselic as a bass player, to bad he never accomplished very much musically after Nirvana.

In total agreement with your assessment of both Grohl and Novoselic. With the Foo Fighters Dave Grohl continued in the spirit of Nirvana, but in a very positive and life affirming way. They were kind of like a alternative Nirvana in a much happier universe.

Agreed. Simple, yet melodic and complimented Grohl's pounding drums beautifully. He might not have been the most talented bassist but I think he is often overlooked...
