Regardless, your reasons for bashing Nirvana are lame, they werent technicaly skilled musicians, and to compare them to musicians they have nothing in common with is rather pointless. You heard the phrase Apples and Oranges, but comparing Kurt Cobain to Lenny Breau?...Jesus Christ....More like Carrots and Watermellons...They're not even in the same food group. |

1- I like Nirvana, always have, but Cobain was a hack. 2- The point is that one can be ahack and still be very influential. 3- KISS may be **** musicains, but their influence can't be denied. 4- a virtuoso may be a virtuoso, but all too often he's an unknown one.How good you are has sqaut to do with how influential you are. You tried dis-crediting KISSes influence by saying they were crap players. I say crap players can still be influential - look at Cobain - a household name. look at Lenny Breau - an unknown virtuoso. |

ALL I said was KISS was one of the most influential bands in the 1970s. I did not say this made thema good band or the best band. I said they were the most influential bands of the 70s NEXT TO Led Zeppelin. |

Nirvana was not a great band musically either. However, their music was emotional and it touched a nerve. When Nirvana hit the scene, the music industry was in much the same shape that it is today, watered down with crap! Nirvana was a breath of fresh air, a new sound, and they influenced an entire generation. I personally was unimpressed with their music from a technical standpoint. But emotionally, they had "it" and for that reason Kurt Cobain will never be seen as a "hack"!
