Yeah, I agree. I'm only 14, oh well, I really like Nirvana.. I mean, it is a big trend and all but when you think about it, if everyone likes it all that means is its good music.

Its a shame when liking a band becomes a fad to everyone, and then if you do actually like the band for their music not just to 'jump on the bandwagon', other people just think of you as some kid who follows the trends and has no real views...

^I know exactly what your talking about. It sucks, but I just ignore it............ I mean if you like certain music you listen to it no matter what people say about it or you.

Your logic: since everyone likes Ashlee Simpson, it's good music.

Well most people get introduced to the bands through "trends" to begin with. If Nirvana did not get mainstream exposure, there wouldn't be 500 topics discussed about them on this site.

but in my case it's pretty different...nirvana are very famous where i live but not throug kids my age, through older people so it's kinda weird. and i know it's weird to see a 15 year old with a Nirvana T-shirt but the age doesn't speek all the time...there could be fake older people as well

ArtistInTheAmbulance 01-31-2005 09:45 AM

^There could be fake older people, but with age comes wisdom and hopefully a sense of individuality.

what can be "fake" about listening to nirvana? everyone knows them, past or present, everyone talks about them, past or present. their music is so easily accessible. nevermind, in utero, and unplugged are available at cheap prices at your local record stores or online. not to mention, mainstream radio still has numerous nirvana songs still in current rotation.

Mebbe its all the people that listen to Nirvana either to 'jump on the bandwagon' or because of Kurt? I dunno really..

blackTshirt 01-31-2005 02:42 PM

not everyone who listens to their music has a clue about anything they sing about. it's like they say in "in bloom"
