You're a bit young to become an old man yelling at a liberal cloud.

I was born in the 80s and I picked up on this band in the early 90s when I was in elementary school. I used to record their songs and others off the radio on a boom box because I could not afford to buy CDs lol.

Kurt Cobain's 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' guitar sells for a staggering $4.55m

That's fair to say. We weren't born into the matrix (I mean social media). We saw a ton of advances in technology too, from the rise of the PC, to the smartphone to AI.

As far as Nirvana is concerned, my sister was big into them. Me, not so much. When the band picked up steam, I went to other Seattle bands like Queensrÿche (Empire was my introduction) and Alice In Chains.

I didn't hate Nirvana, still don't. They just didn't catch on with me like they did seemingly everyone else.

My non-controversial and completely objective big 4 grunge band ranking.

Nirvana > Alice in Chains > Soundgarden > Pearl Jam
