I couldn't narrow it down, I love them too much! Though Lithium is a glaring exception.

Not a big Nirvana fan not even back when Bleach came out but the only tracks I really rate are Negative Creep and Terrortorial Pissings. Never heard anything after the first 2 albums either.

Negative Creep is a good song, pretty refreshing to see someone who isn't a Nirvana fan list off every Nevermind track as the "only songs I like". I was actually surprised by this list, some pretty good picks.

My list is as follows:

10. Big Long Now
9. Dive
8. Breed
7. In Bloom
6. Milk It
5. All Apologies
4. Anyeurism
3. Rape Me
2. Serve the Servants
1. Francis Farmer will have her revenge on Seattle

Default Why Kurt Cobain was a genius/walking contradiction

He was steeped in Beatles tunes since he was small child. That's where he learned melody. He said he had to imagine what Punk music was before he even heard of it. That gave him originality. And he fused it all together to make simple, melodic, and memorable tunes. His lyrics were pure expression.

i.e.

He's the one who likes all our pretty songs and he likes to sing along and he likes to shoot his gun but he knows not what it means

By anyone's estimation he was talking about the Rednecks that tormented him in highschool that would show up at his shows and sing along to his tunes. But did anyone, including Cobain himself, know what any of his songs were about?

He didn't approve of "Grunge" as a label for his music, but he set himself apart by showing up to THE HEADBANGERS BALL in a wedding dress, just mocking all the hairbands.

He was truely the greatest artist of my generation and they don't make em like that hardly anymore.

You forgot scentless apprentince.

Im pretty young just 13 so I wasn't around when it was their commercial breakthrough. First bands I listened to.
1. David Byrne (My dad loved him and played him) kindergarden
2.Buckshot Leponque (dad) 2nd grade
3. Metallica (dads friends son) 2nd grade
4. Linkin Park ( hate them now but i figured bout them)
5. Nirvana ( dad) 2nd grade
Nirvana was for sure my favorite and my favorite band till 4th Grade.
I still like them. I only had nevermind and I'm tired of a couple songs but I just got in utero which I didn't get early cause my dad saw the track rape me.

my family dont understand why the hell i like nirvana, it was kinda a surprise i guess coz my sisters were all into classical, jazz and that crap and my family loathe nirvana but i dont like them just to be rebellious. it sounds *** and cliche' but kurt's story touched me and i watched all these vids on youtube and read all this stuff and bought books and basically everything nirvana you can imagine ,, still love em

my favourite 10 songs would have to be:
(not in order)
10. Opinion
9. You Know Your Right
8. Siftings
7. Paper Cuts
6. Dive
5. Drain You
4. Pen Cap Chew
3. Stay Away
2. Blew
1. Floyd The Barber

i prefer kurt screaming than my parents
