Thats because there was a whole host of other bands doing that kind of thing better at the time. Silverfish , Fudge Tunnel , Leatherface , China Drum. To name but a few.

A lot of people seem to be very hung up on 'labels' here. I personally think they had a 'punk' attitude in the early days - i.e. not giving a sh*t and doing their own thing - but hey what does it matter? It's only my opinion. Tag whatever label you like onto it but it doesn't change the music.

Well you wanted to know why Bleach was ignored at the time. I just told you.

Yes a third of Incesticide isn't very good, but the rest is good enough to make up for the filler, its better than Bleach. Don't even argue with me on that.

Incesticides worst songs (Beeswax, Hairspray Queen) are worse than Bleachs worst songs (Swap Meet, Floyd the Barber). However its best songs (Been A Son, Aneurysm, Dive, Sliver) are better than Bleachs best songs (About A Girl, Shifting, Negative Creep, Scoff). Thats how I see it.

Aneurysm > everything.

In Utero was still their best, imo.

Right answer. Nevermind shouldn't be celebrated as their best.

Aneurysm > everything.
I think part of the reason i don't like it as much is because its not a proper album, its bits and pieces so it all feels a bit detached (sp?) if you know what i mean.
I'll agree with Aneurysm, why the fook isn't it on the list?
