erm yeah two tracks by MBV maybe, one from the first album one from the second?
a telescopes song from their debut (to cover the more violent Stooges-rock side of shoegaze), ditto the Swirlies for the lo-fi thing.
stick some slowdive in there aswell, their cover of 'golden hair' is spacey.
and that Lush song that was really popular... you need to rep the girl vocals on the mix, which shouldn't be hard to do.

The first Blur album was hailed as a shoegaze classic yet I think people forget this these days because of what came after.

So I think you should put She's So High on it.

I watch this and I have to ask myself is this REALLY the irritating chirpy mockney wanker that was responsible for Parklife?

God there were some great songs on that album...repetition, slow down, bad day, high cool, there's no other way...
i love Modern Life because you still hear this British grass (white suburbs) roots shoegaze music, Graham rocking out but tempered by the sixties songwriting Damon was pushing.
Yeah so gravity get one of the songs off Leisure on that mixtape, essential.

edit: plus alot of it's on the 'baggy' end of the shoegaze spectrum so you could use Blur instead of Chapterhouse, who are overrated

Gravity put some Loop on there too. I have A Gilded Eternity album. Just holler if needed.

I have "Heaven's End" by Loop.....fantastic album, one of the most druggy, fuzzy things I've heard. I feel like I'm leeching off of ya, but if you don't mind uploading that other loop, then that'd be sweet

if you don't have Heaven's End, or if you've got any other wants, let me know.

I haven't heard that, but I quite like most other Blur I've heard if I'm honest, even if it's not shoegaze. I mean, not crazy about it or nothing, but it's OK. You not a fan of Parklife, no?

Unfortunately all my Loop stuff is on vinyl. I have Heaven's End, The World In Your Eyes and Fade Out (gatefold with 2 x 45rpm discs) plus Collision on 12"...

Impressive, I would love to have a bunch of Loop records, but the small problem of never having money has thus far stopped it happening.

I just finished listening to Pygmalion by Slowdive. What is the consensus on this album on here?
