Check out Earth's newly released The Bees Made Honey in the Lion's Skull. Very tasty!

I think the resurgence is happening, people are starting to move past the rehash of the mid 90's...could be interesting to see a progression for once

"A Gilded Eternity" by Loop was cool, Jackhammer. Much less aggressive than their others in its approach, but nonetheless still excellent.

Glad you enjoyed it. The simple technique of burying the vocals low down in the mix adds a new dimension to the tracks.

I'm resurrecting this thread.....You need to check these artists out if you already haven't.

Spacemen 3 - Hypnotized

Jason Peirce - Walking With Jesus(not really shoegaze but it's just so beautiful )

I think this is my favourite Loop album now!

Does anyone like Swervedriver? I've been listening to them obsessively over the last few days. I didn't really like them much when I first heard them ages ago, but they've grown on me considerably. Like a more accessible and more rockin' shoegaze band...well they got more accessible as they went on. But there's some really neat guitar work and the vocals are very different from what you'd normally assosiate with shoegaze bands. Raise, Ejector Seat Reservation and Mezcal Head are all sweet albums.

I'm going to see them next week as well. Imagine, seeing MBV and Swervedriver within two months of each other! Can't wait.
