Mostly because their initial review of the album constituted a grotesque narration of post-adolescent social ineptitude. It was some kid was muttering on and on about how people at parties don't appreciate good music. No shit, really? Yeah, the review seems kinda gratuitous, but I'm not going to begrudge people for enjoying bands like Spiritualized and Galaxie 500 just because Pitchfork told them to. Maybe they'll reissue The Perfect Prescription soon, get people to steer clear of this shitgaze nonsense.

This is Our Music starts off with a good track, then descends into much mediocrity. It really plays into that Velvet Underground comparison to the point where they seemed like parrots. On Fire is consistently brilliant, and the covers on it are fantastic.
