Psshhh... ****ing pitchfork and their hippness. Hey man, they gave the "Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space" reissue a 10/10 only because it is a classic. If you've looked at their other reviews on Spiritualized albums you'll see how they bitch and moan about how they've heard all this 60's **** before. I ****ing wanted to bitch slap the dumb mother****ers... I'm sick of them changing up their opinions about bands all the time despite how good the material is.

I saw that too, laughed when I saw it.

Mostly because their initial review of the album constituted a grotesque narration of post-adolescent social ineptitude. It was some kid was muttering on and on about how people at parties don't appreciate good music. No shit, really?

Yeah, the review seems kinda gratuitous, but I'm not going to begrudge people for enjoying bands like Spiritualized and Galaxie 500 just because Pitchfork told them to. Maybe they'll reissue The Perfect Prescription soon, get people to steer clear of this shitgaze nonsense.

Yeah, Sonic would **** bricks I tell yeah. I'm pretty sure he's re-issued every Spacemen 3 album though.

If any G500 album deserves praise, it is indeed On Fire. This Is Our Music should be spat upon if you asked me, but eh.

For what good reason do you think This Is Our Music should be spat upon? Even though it's not as good as On Fire it's still an incredible album.

This is Our Music starts off with a good track, then descends into much mediocrity. It really plays into that Velvet Underground comparison to the point where they seemed like parrots. On Fire is consistently brilliant, and the covers on it are fantastic.

I don't know about that. He DID produce the last MGMT album. :shudder:

Bwahaha... now that's a funny thing right there.

Old people gradually lose their taste in music sadly, same goes for my mom.

Nah, I really disagree with this. I love all their albums. On Fire is definitely my favourite though.

Well definitely, I can't complain with "On Fire". Brilliant from beginning to end.
