Shoegaze / Dream-Pop
I've listened to all the classics of the 90's, such as MBV, Slowdive, Ride and Catherine Wheel. I love the being able to get lost in the soundscapes and just chill out. But how about the new bands or the bands that I've missed, or been missing out on? Recently I've heard about The Daysleepers and was wonderin about some others.
Thanks for any help. - SpecialCookies

I was not expecting that video to be so rad. =0
Oh, now it makes sense. Spaceman 3. You know, for all of you who say MGMT sucks, for they're next album they are doing work with someone from Spaceman 3. I think it's Pete Kember. Here's a new song too, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQKSIPhuqe4 It's call Song For Dan Tracey, the only consistent member of the band Television Personalities apparently. I love that. Then people start shuffling towards the rear like deer caught in headlights.

Exactly. In this case everybody seemed physically drained from the assault on our senses (even though we were just standing still) so it was like we were all exiting a roller-coaster ride or something. MBV sure knows how to create an experience for their live audience.

One of my latest finds. Slightly abrasive female lead album but damn good. Album is Devastator.

Haha! Loved M83. Listened to just a handful of their tracks then bought their album Saturdays=Youth less than 24 hours later.
Thanks for the suggestion.

I saw My Bloody Valentine yesterday and it is probably the best concert I've ever seen and definitely the loudest. Anyone without earplugs left very quickly. The amount of fuzz they created with the guitars was amazing. By law they aren't allowed to play over 100 dB, but they purposely broke the law and played 120 dB. The last 20 minutes was ceaseless guitar mangle that vibrated your entire body. I'm still shaking from it.
