Wintersun
 

I think that wintersun is a kiss ass band. A friend of mine introduced me to their music and I love it! There music sounds a little midevial (well to me). there a really good band. I would check out some of they're music if you like deathmetal.

I enjoy them, but feel the need to clarify that they have almost no death metal elements. They have notably harsh vocals at times but aside from that are pretty much folk metal with a slight progressive bent and maybe a touch of melodeath in the guitar work.

I think this band absolutely epitomize sucking. I'll tell you who they actually remind me of: Muse. Their theatricality makes my stomach churn.

Wintersun are quite possibly one of the most exciting bands around today, granted they only have one album out but it is absolutely brilliant, very much looking forward to the new release.

By listening very carefully to the compositional aspects of their riffs.

i'm a big fan of their first album (except 'death and the healing'), but jari is so dang lazy. he's been delaying the release of 'time' around four years now. i don't care how many tracks are on each song, that's absolutely uncalled for.

everyday, i lose more and more patience with wintersun.

I love their debut as well.
Melodic-death metal with some power/viking metal elements.
Gives this 'epicness' about their music without sounding cheesy at all.

Their next album is set to release on feb 2009.(hopefully)
If it doesn't well, it releases later then. Why some people get pissed off(above poster) is beyond me.

it isn't necessarily a case of hostility, demonoid... i suppose it's feeling a sense of disappointment more than anything. when their first album debuted, i thought they would be my favorite band, in which they were for a while.

but as time progressed, kai kept creating lame excuses to why they haven't done anything but sit around and get drunk with their new money (a total inspiration obliterator BTW). that is absolute treacherousness towards fans.
