Metallica's new album should be out this year.

What does everyone think?

What do you think?

*unenthusiastic yay*

Yaaaaaaaaay.

Their thinking too much. If they just did what they wanted they produce a lot better. And speaking of producing, can we get flemming back?

To be honest I'm not really enthusiastic and I don't care. Metallica has been musically retarded since the 90s and I don't think much good will come from them. However, I will give it a fair listen before judging it because thats how I roll.

What surprises me is that anybody seriously expects this to be good, hell, it even surprises me that anyone is able to get their hopes up. What we have in store, in all likelihood, is St.Anger pt.2

My thoughts exactly and the more I think about things, the more I realise that I don't rate them as much as I did when I was a wee nipper.

Yeah it's not a very tough one to call. One third of me suggests they know all about how shit-house St Anger was, and really need to pull finger to gain some of their credibility back as metal icons.

The majority of me suggests we're in for more tshirts, more Mandatory Metallica Moments on the local radio, and a truely biblical competition between them and the Foo Fighters for the modern day Gods of Rock title.

I would be excited if it were still the 80's. Same thing, I'll listen to it, but I'm not expecting much.

Who knows, we may all be surprised. I heard they got their inspiration from Ride The Lightning, so who knows?
