I'm reserving judgment on this one, though I do expect it to be better than St. Anger, because I don't think they actually can do worse than that. They've been through a few big changes in the past few years, so it's hard to tell what sort of album it's likely to be. We'll see.

I've heard their last few. That tells me all I need to know about the band and where they stand in relation to ideas.

Haha, you people. I don't see why poeple have to diss on every band they don't like. There are many bands that I am not found of, but you don't see me going onto a forum to talk about how much they suck. Instead, I choose to support the music and bands I do like.

What thread are you reading?

Pretty much everybody here has said they do like them but they don't expect much from the next album.

What's wrong with that?

I admit there was a handful of songs I liked off of Load and Reload. A few songs on St. Anger even grew on me. But I expect their new album to be a blast from the past. New bassist, new producer, they have a lot of things working for them at the moment. Now all they need is their heads into gear writing some good material and all will be great.

I don't see how it follows from the point of them having a new bassist/producer that they've therefore got "a lot of things working for them at the moment".

Rick Rubin is a producing god.

Hmmm I don't know. Trujillo is a brilliant bassist and if he's given enough creative license, it could make things interesting.
