I have the 'Rude Awakening' live DVD from 2001 and it is tight as the proverbial nuns bits. Excellent SQ too. I have seen them live back in the early days and they were fantastic. Here is the classic 'Wake up Dead' from the DVD.

Yep, about 2 weeks after we broke up as well. Great for your confidence i'll tell you, not much chance comparing to Dave Mustaine you know?

Megadeth were and still are ****ing tight as ****. I was more on the Tallica side of the fence when I was getting into metal and I never really gave Megadeth the time they deserved when it came to making an effort to really listen and repeatedly listen to their stuff. Luckily I snapped out of that, and I'm not sure where it ranks in comparison to the older Tallica stuff in my eyes but Rust In Peace ****s all over a hell of a lot of thrash metal I've heard.

I'm afraid I've only heard Countdown To Extinction. Rust In Peace is the good one, eh?

Indeed it is. Fun fact for the day: Dimebag Darrell was offered the rhythm guitar position before they started recording Rust In Peace, but turned it down because they wouldn't let his brother, Vinnie Paul, be the drummer. Marty Friedman's a lot better of course, but who knows how Rust In Peace might have sounded?

Probably worse. Thank God.

And yes Alfred, I second that motion. Get Rust In Peace now.
