My first "metal" album was Mr. Bungle's self-titled... heck, it was my first album, period. I have to say, it was the perfect start...

Not exactly metal, but the first Rock album i bought was 12 Gold Bars by Status Quo in 1978 i believe. They were the first band that got me into heavy music. Before that it was chart pop i listened to.

I was only a kid though.

Mr Bungle is metal???...

I got a Black Sabbath Cassette from the public library back in about 86, it was a best of the ozzy years. Then a mate taped me some motorhead.

A few weeks later I was buying slayer and metallica records and so the obsession started. My metal obsession lasted until about 1990, when I discovered Faith No More, The pixies, Sonic Youth and The Ramones.

I still dig metal though.
