Musical skill rarely has anything to do with how good your music is. While good music takes some level of instrumental knowledge, the majority of it is soul, inspiration, and other aspects that can not be graded or measured.

that's what I meant your instrumental knowledge and inspiration should be at a all time high with playing and writing music for 60 + years

Speaking from personal experience mine is at an all time high when I have something going on in my life worth writing/playing about. If I just sit down to create something for no other reason than I want to make music it never turns out as well.

i read ozzys book and listened to each album as i went trough it... they all have something but i don't know if ill favor one.. i like songs from them all.. planet caravan is the most amazing thing this band has done in my ears and i can relate to the energy in supernaut.. but all the first records have a charm to them.

but i actually havnt heard the band with other singers.

They've also spent the last few decades putting out crap. Why would it be any different because they just happened to be putting out crap together?

I actually didn't mind the Dio era at all, since I was way into Ozzies solo stuff at that time (even Speak of the Devil). Mob Rules (on vinyl) was worn out at some point, as well as H&H. I still have every album from the first one up to Mob Rules on vinyl in my Dads attic. Some still with "The Nice Price" sticker on em.

Paranoid. Volume Four gets a lot of love from me too. But Heaven and Hell is up there with the rest of the great Ozzy-era Sabbath albums.
