I think they're both terribly boring bands who contribute nothing to the musical world other than riding the current trend.

but you must admit that The Used have used there talent for more good than anything that MCR has put out in the past.

I'd picked The Used over MCR anyday but to say they aren't creative is just stupid imo.

:laughing: From First to Last, Senses Fail, Funeral For a Friend, Hawthorne Heights, Enter Shakiri, AFI, A Static Lullaby, etc all those bands in this mtv "emo trend" aren't much different from the Used, just because they incorporated strings into their new single doesn't make them any different. AS for MCR they just change their sound to whatever sells, the Black Parade is just a Queen rip off. Neither band is creative or original.

Yeah, both are both uninventitive, unoriginal, boring, mediocre bands, sound exactly the same as a thousand other. nothing appealing about either.

I liked the MCR album right before their newest one, that one with Helena on it.
Has anyone ever listened to a band, and you couldn't explain exactly what it was you liked about them? You just like their sound?
Well, that's how it is with The Used. There was something about their sound that drew me to them. After I got into them I found out they are all really goofy, funny guys, and they all happen to be vegetarians, just like me. Which, in a way, gave me more reason to like them.

You're right cody222111, I keep trying to tell them that The Used's first album is a great listen. However, I'm being somewhat hypocritical because I don't try many new sounds. Every song on that CD is just awesome, and I never seem to get tired of listening to it, and I've probably heard it about 100 times.
