I wasn't calling jazz monotonous I was referring to cynic's bland metal fusion, from the video that was posted. I was brought up with chet baker, john coltrane, charles mingus and michael brecker to name a few. So don't play that card. Plus calling folk bland and pathetic cancels any credibility you have/had.
