ISMFOF - Discography
I Set My Friends On Fire Discography. Written by IYT.
I Set My Friends On Fire is a post-hardcore duo formed by Matt Mehana and Nabil Moo from Miami, Florida in 2007. Matt Mehana – vocals, lyrics Nabil Moo – vocals, guitars, percussions, and programming Matt and Nabil owe their success to Myspace. Myspace is where Matt and Nabil made themselves known with their remix of the song “Crank That Soulja Boy” by Soulja Boy Tell Em’ entitled “Crack That Calvary Kid”. Crank That Calvary Boy became so popular on Myspace with over one million plays that their profile was deleted a total of three times because Myspace thought they were using programs to increase the number of plays they have on their profiles. I Set My Friends On Fire then seen pretty much instant success. After all of that the group decided to sign to Epitaph Records where they then released their debut album “You Can’t Spell Slaughter Without Laughter” in October of 2007. The album was not an instant success though. It went through a lot of trouble from the reviews being called “high in the running for worst album of the year”. “The music aims for brutality and melody, but misses the mark entirely on both counts”. “Truly fails because it has exactly zero memorable moments”. Putting aside the bad reviews I Set My Friends On Fire plan to go on tour with bands like A Skylit Drive and Abandon Ship in may on 2010.
