Apparently this is the future of heavy metal. ... On a another note, why not list a few 2006-2007 album releases that you think equal the likes of.... Let's say, Metallica's "...And Justice For All", Slayer's "Reign In Blood", Pantera's "Vulgar Display of Power", or Black Sabbath's "Paranoid"? Or, list albums coming out this year that you think MIGHT turn things around for the genre?? (crickets chirping) Seriously, though, I happen to love this music and I HOPE you can give me a list a mile long. :thumb: |
lemmy is a million times more the metal icon than dimebag will ever be.

I could give you some pretty dope metal bands if you asked, that's what these boards are for. |

especially coming from someone who idolizes the guitarist from damageplan, which is the ***est band in the world. |

First thing, just because a band is made up of animated characters not even based off of real characters in life doesn't make it ridiculous. Although I wouldn't call them #1, Dethklok has some great songs.
Second, All these bands you're talking about that bring shame to metal began and sold out way before Dimebag died and have sucked just as much then as they do now. Dimebag's death had nothing to do with the "downfall" of metal. I wouldn't even say there is a downfall. Just a bunch of kids playing guitars pretending to do metal stealing the spotlight from the really good bands. Popularity is worthless. Just because there aren't any popular good new bands out there doesn't mean metal has died. |
You say nothing ORIGINAL is coming out these days?
Listen to UNEXPECT. Quit your bitching. The fact that you think hatebreed is good shows me that you haven't listened to much metal. |
