Lets hope this doesn't turn into another brain-numbing Alice in Chains thread.

Just to clarify, AIC have to be one of the most overrated bands in the history of rock, with that boring and ever so predictable dirige of a sound that they put out and the whole thing is made even worse by Layne Staley constantly whining and wallowing in self-pity. Its a shame he died, because he became a martyr for getting people to like tasteless rock.

I might even have a small place in my heart for All Together Now, and it kind of fits on the Yellow Submarine album...thank god it wasn't put on any of their major works! Personally, I love Yellow Submarine. I haven't become jaded by overplay, though, which I assume is partly to blame for the overwhelming hatred among music fans. Give me 20 more years of hearing it and maybe I'll be tired of it. My Ding-a-Ling by Chuck Berry is an obvious one that I assume somebody has mentioned. I guess Chuck Berry isn't "a rock band" but it fits well enough. That song is such a sore spot in all of Chuck's anthologies. |

Funnily enough Jerry Cantrell himself doesn't seem to agree:
